It’s time to embrace partner yoga on a mat with your other half to do few moves together at home!
Yogi2Me teachers Sarah and Nick have put together an accessible partner yoga sequence so you can try some partner yoga with your loved one.
Sit in cross legged position back to back. Acknowledge where on your spine the both of you connect and feel the breath flowing along both of your spines.
Extend the arms and connect palms with thumb pointing up. Twist on the right bending the left arm to open the chest while keeping arms and shoulder high. Rotate from the root of your spine to the crown of your head. Repeat on the left side.
Unfold your legs and bend your knee, feet flat in front of you. Interlace your elbows and use your feet to press into your partner lower back/tailbone. Have a go a couple of times to sit up and then transition this way to standing.
Once up connect sacrum to sacrum. Raise your hands in prayer to the sky, take a mild backbend and ask your partner to grab your wrists. Your partner shall fold forwards from the hips while lifting your body up. Ask him to keep a flat back while you enjoy a nice backbend!
